Accept genealogical research program
This program is the result of almost twenty years of research and
development. It is designed primarily for the serious genealogical
researcher. One of our test sites has now reached over 65,000 names in the
database with an access time of about 3 seconds on a 386 PC.
The name ACCEPT implies that the program is designed to ACCEPT only names
that are NEW to the database. Every effort has been made to reject and
filter out any duplications. This is the heart of the program. Complex
query techniques are what makes a powerful genealogy program. Without them
you have nothing but a forms generator. If you are going to enter John
Smith into a billion name database you had better have some pretty fancy
QUERY/ENTRY techniques to see if he is there already. Johann Schmidt,
Johannes Smythe etc. YOU CANNOT HAVE DUPLICATIONS IN A LINKED DATABASE!
This very serious problem does not show up until you have more names in
your database than you can remember. If you have several people working on
your database you are in trouble without this ability to find duplications
quickly. What about language barriers? Hebrew, Greek, Russian, Japanese
etc. North America is not the world!
